I’m 90% sure that this will be the last Amsterdam snow photo for this year. I took this one with my phone, while walking from the train station to the office, Tuesday morning. Nice, huh? It was funny to hear the squeak squeak of my shoes on the snow. Snow is hardly ever that dry here. It was really skiing snow!
Hi there,
I wanted to email you a reply to your comment on my blog, but blogger is stupid and doesn’t actually let me know the email address of people who comment.
I had the space concern about a ball-winder too (I move a lot), but then justified it to myself by saying that knitting wasn’t likely something I was going to give up any time soom.
And as MountainMama on Ravelry put it: “Winding balls yourself a la Little Women is only enchanting for about 200 yards,” which I think is definitely true.
(By the way, your pictures are beautiful!)
Emily
Thanks Emily!
And I agree with your thinking, and that of MountainMama. I love the feel of the yarn in my fingers, for about 3 minutes, then I’m ready to be finished with that chore. And inevitably I get a tangled mess at the end. Always.
