Last night was Stitch ‘n Bitch at de Jaren. There were 4 old people and 4 new people. The new people were also kind of new knitters (2 were really just learning). Two of the newbies were Dutch, the rest of us were native English speakers. It’s Amsterdam you know, where, I learned last night, there are more nationalities living here than in any other city in the world, even New York!
Yes, it’s early Tuesday morning that I’m posting this because I got home kind of late last night and had to get to bed. Here are some photos from a very gezellig evening:
First, my new bag! Isn’t it sweet? It fits my day to day stuff AND my knitting. Perfect.
M. and I both had apple tart and man are they HUGE pieces. I couldn’t finish mine. M. had no problem. The first photo is my tart and my knitting above it. You can see I’ve started on Shadow Dance (the brioche capelet). Once you get started, it’s a breeze to knit and goes fast. I haven’t gotten to the increases yet, so we’ll see how that goes. The second photo is M. and her loot.
Lastly, here’s a photo of some yarn that C. dyed in tea. Isn’t is pretty? Unfortunately it will probably fade when washed so she’s looking for a project where washing isn’t needed, or at least rarely needed.
How nice to see photos of a lovely evening!
