Above is a photo of Muir, in progress and unblocked. I think the little stainless steel thread in it makes it lay better before blocking than just wool lace yarn would do. I’ve got 7 1/2 pattern repeats done (out of 13). My worst case scenario is that I’m still working on it when we go to California in October and I’m madly finishing and blocking at my mom’s house just before the wedding!
Unfortunately, it’s really too big, too delicate, and it’s white which all means that I won’t be taking it on the train with me or to Stitch ‘n Bitch evenings to work on. It’s definitely a couch project.
For my travel knitting I’ve just cast on bright yellow yarn to make a mystery sock pattern by Nancy Bush. If you want to join a KAL (knit-a–long for you non-knitters) with the possibility of PRIZES, and you are on Ravelry, head on over to the SKA (Sock Knitters Anonymous) forum and join the September Sockdown challenge.
It sounds just too exciting doesn’t it? Happy knitting!
