Vacation is Over!

It was a lovely month off from blogging. I really needed it.  I feel like my blogging mojo is on the way back.  Aren’t you glad?

So, what have I been up to since we last met?  Lots of things!  I have several FO’s to report, new things in progress, lots of wedding photos and vacation photos to share, and observations to make.

Since I have so much stored up to tell you about, it seemed a good time to take advantage of NaBloPoMo or National Blog Posting Month.  The idea is to sign up and post something to your blog every day this month.  It’s 1 November.  Here I go.

The above photo was taken at Mandy and John’s wedding on 17 October.  It was really the best wedding ever.  The day was planned by them, with everything the way they really wanted it.  Considering the teeny tiny budget they had, it was just amazing.  They originally wanted to invite EVERYONE, but the list was just too long, so they had to make hard choices in order to keep it small enough but big enough and include what they really wanted to have.  For example, instead of a wedding cake, we made cookies on Thursday night to serve instead.  John’s Mom did all the flower arrangements.  A friend took photos (along with the rest of us).

I’ll have more to say about the wedding, and photos to share, in a later post.  But it was really the best part of the vacation so I wanted to start out the month with this highlight.  Love you guys!

  1. Way to go, Alex! Doing the NaBloPoMo. Me too. I keep saying that I won’t do it because November is always so crazy for me, but I’m going to do it. I happened to write it yesterday and I guess I’m committed. Good luck!
