The web shop is open for business!
After a long hiatus and move to a new continent, we're back online ready to take your orders. We'll be dyeing new colors in the next month and also bringing in some new exciting fibers.
Under Dutch Skies is now shipping, and dyeing, and spinning, from California where the weather is fine for outdoor dyeing nearly all year.
Follow us on Facebook for photos and updates!
We've scheduled our first USA appearance for Under Dutch Skies! We will be at the Vista Fiber Fiesta in Vista, CA on 7-8 October with all the lovely fiber you see in the web shop. Come out and see us, along with lots of other fiber-y sellers, a barn full of antique spinning and weaving equipment, and other antique equipment at this museum-turned-marketplace.
AND, we are planning to re-open the web shop on 13 October so come back and check out our new pricing and shipping charges as well as some new color ways coming soon.
Under Dutch Skies is moving, and in a big way.
We're moving from the Netherlands to sunny Southern California!
As you can imagine, such a move takes time. The shop will be closed until early 2017 when we plan to start up again. You haven't seen the last of our products!
Under Dutch Skies is taking a summer break. The shop will be open again for purchases on the 20th of August, 2016.
You can still find our products at Cross & Woods in Den Haag.
While professional cyclists are spinning their wheels around France for three weeks in July, fiber spinners all over the world will be spinning their own kind of wheels (and spindles), making beautiful yarns.
The idea is to spin every day when the cyclists are cycling and to challenge yourself during the "challenge" days. There are teams set up on Ravelry which everyone is free to join. Some people, like me, join several teams.
Also, on 2 July, the first day of the Tour, we will be kicking off the Tour de Fleece at Cross & Woods in Den Haag (The Hague). Come by and get 15% off Under Dutch Skies fiber, spin with us or just hang out. We might even watch a bit of the actual cycling race!
Dyeing up product for a retail order takes nearly all my time, but I have also dyed some new colors for the web shop. I've added a few colors of BFL, BFL/Silk and BlendS. Here are some teaser photos!
Great News! Under Dutch Skies and Cross & Woods are working together to bring you a Spinning Weekend in The Hague!
On April 16-17 come by the new yarn and crafting parlour Cross & Woods, bring your spindle or spinning wheel and spin with us! Don't know how? Come by and we'll get you started. Check out their web site for more info as we get closer to the date.
Also! Starting April 16, Under Dutch Skies fiber will be a regularly available product at Cross & Woods. Want to touch and feel your fiber before you buy? Head over to The Hague and you can do just that.
I'm very excited about working together with the lovely owners of Cross & Woods and I'm sure you'll also be impressed by their fantastic selection of not only yarn and fiber, but also fabrics, tools and supplies. Not to mention their very friendly and helpful service.
See you there!
The shop is open! To celebrate the Grand Opening, today only get 10% off all orders using discount code GrandOpening14022016 when checking out.

I’m sorry to announce that the shop opening is being delayed. In order to open a well designed, well functioning and full of product web shop, I’m going to delay opening by one month.
Under Dutch Skies web shop will now be open for business on 21 February, 2016. Look for Grand Opening deals!
